Equiseto Plus combines the fungicidal activity of Equisetum arvense with the eliciting, defense-stimulating action of chitosan in a synergistic blend. EQUISETO PLUS is effective in controlling various fungal diseases on a wide range of crops, while also improving post-harvest fruit storage. Equisetum arvense, also known as “field horsetail”, is an herbaceous plant that naturally contains compounds and substances that impart structural stability to plant tissues and increase the thickness of cell walls, preventing or hindering the penetration of pathogenic fungi. The formulation can be used for both preventive treatments (strongly recommended) and curative applications when symptoms are already visible (use the higher dosage rate). Chitosan stimulates plant defense mechanisms through the presence of chitin, a polysaccharide derived from Aspergillus niger. When applied to the plant, chitin is recognized as a sign of pathogen attack, thereby activating the defense mechanism known as Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR). This process triggers the rapid production of phytoalexins, antimicrobial compounds that accumulate in the plant and help control pathogenic fungi and bacteria.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Shake well before use. Dilute 15 ml of product in 1 liter of water and treat 50 sq m of surface area. Apply the product as a foliar spray and mist the plant evenly, including the underside of the leaves, from a distance of 50 cm. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Apply during the coolest hours of the day.
